PRENATAL VISITS, LABOR & DELIVERY, & POSTNATAL VISIT

From the point of hire, I will guide you through your pregnancy via email, phone, and text, to address all questions and concerns within my scope

Prenatal Visits

At around 34 weeks we can review your birth vision and develop your birth preferences. At around 37 weeks we can do a birth rehearsal to practice comfort techniques for labor and develop your postpartum plan.

Labor Support

Encouraging and facilitating primary birth partner support is paramount to me. My services involve empathic coaching to access your deep reservoir of strength via physical comfort measures, verbal encouragement, and emotional reassurance. I will serve as your decision-making sounding board and advocate, aiming to impart a calm, enthusiastic, and inclusive atmosphere. I am available by phone during early labor then will join you once labor becomes active, through delivery, and until 1-2 hours post birth for breastfeeding initiation.

Post-Partum Support

During our postpartum session we can relish in and debrief the birth experience. I will also address recovery issues, provide guidance on nutrition and breastfeeding/pump techniques and/or bottle feeding, review soothing techniques, along with other pertinent matters

I happily do commissions of your birth experience, pregnancy loss, and other requests and actually believe that the mutual art making processis one highly conducive to our bonding. Below you will find some recent examples of the birth art I make, both originals and fine art prints. PARTNER COACHING SESSIONS (30 MIN OR 1.5 HOURS)

Perhaps you find yourself here, still on the fence about hiring a birth doula. Please feel free to reach out to me and I can impartially help you reach a decision. And if you ultimately think you feel secure with the birth partner(s) you will have present with you on the day of delivery, but want to give them a bit of an education first to ensure they can be of optimal support, then perhaps a birth partner coaching session is for you!

Developed during the height of the C-19 pandemic when I could not be present with my birth clients in person, I developed curriculum for the available packages of a short 30 minute class, a 1.5 hour class, and two 30 minute classes.
